The Youth Policy Advisory Committee is comprised of High School Youth from the LA BTO scholarship program and students from surrounding Los Angeles High Schools. The Youth Leadership group was created in order to increase CDF-CA youth and CDF policy strategies/priorities. We provide the youth with life skills workshops, Leadership development, time management, financial literacy, community mapping, action planning, communication and current CDF policy initiatives. The Youth Policy Advisory Committee (YPAC) is elected by CDF youth and serves as the youth voice when developing and implementing CDF policy and program. YPAC takes the lead in facilitating youth action plans to organize a variety of activities to support Dismantling the School to Prison Pipeline.  YPAC started in the summer of 2011 and it will continue to grow.
