This heartfelt event on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at the Beverly Hills Hotel at 6:30 p.m. will introduce five incredible Los Angeles area high school students whose inspirational stories will make the 21st Annual Los Angeles Beat the Odds Awards program one of the most genuinely moving events in Los Angeles.  CDF President Marian Wright Edelman and Hollywood supporters will join on stage to honor these "star" young people for their personal hard work, academic excellence, community service, and perseverance despite the tremendous obstacles they face in their daily lives.
