Building our future

A Forum on Children with California's Gubernatorial Candidates

Tuesday, May 15, 6pm to 8pm

Los Angeles Trade Tech College, Los Angeles

about

California's next governor will be faced with critical policy decisions that will determine future state investments in our children and families.

Building our Future: A Forum on Children with California's Gubernatorial Candidates is an important opportunity to hear from candidates about some of the most important issues related to children's health, youth justice, child poverty, access to technology, child welfare and educational equity.

So far we have confirmed Antonio Villaraigosa, Delaine Eastin, and John Chiang. Invitations have been extended to the top candidates of both parties.

This nonpartisan forum – to be held May 15 at Los Angeles Trade Tech from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. – is being hosted by Children’s Defense Fund-California, The Children’s Partnership and The Chronicle of Social Change in partnership with other organizations that have committed to supporting the event by providing funds, technical support, community outreach or other in-kind donations.
