YALTSM Program
Each year, the YALT program attracts hundreds of young adults who participate in a weekend-long training program at Haley Farm in Clinton, Tennessee, where they develop knowledge and skills in child advocacy. This training program provides participants an excellent opportunity to connect with other young leaders, community organizers, child advocates and activists from around the country and learn new advocacy skills, models and strategies that can be implemented in their communities and on their college campuses.
YALT serves as a CDF network of youth leaders who stay active and connected. At Children's Defense Fund-California, we conduct quarterly YALT meetings to present new resources and to follow-up with the young leaders in their communities.
If you are a young adult and would like to get more information on the YALT program, please contact Nina Moreno at (510) 663-2218.
